Honda Accord Passenger Side Insulations install
By DChenster (6/11/2011)
2010 Honda Accord I4 has missing something that V6 has, it's the driver side and passenger side insulations. Which was because V6 produce more noise from engine, therefore they have those insulations to block out some of the sound. Since College Hills Honda sells as a kit, also it's low price, ($21 on the day), and since there are lots item will be purchased to save on shipping, it's a bargain to decrease the sound... SO here we go. BTW, installation is so easy, you don't need anything, just find the place and plugs in and 3 tabs in, you are done
The part:
Insulation part: 77346-TA6-A01
There are no additional stuff need besides the part, it helps with noise, but only on HVAC only and it's very slight improvement. For $21 dollars, it's good deal.
Here are the three red tabs that the piece pushes into
Here are the 2 holes the piece put into at the firewall
Installation:
The firewall section goes in
the upper section
Before and after
BTW: if you are getting the interior illumination, the bulb itself are plug into the insulation, since it's V6 insulation.
