Honda Accord Driver Side Insulations install

By DChenster (6/11/2011)

2010 Honda Accord I4 has missing something that V6 has, it's the driver side and passenger side insulations.  Which was because V6 produce more noise from engine, therefore they have those insulations to block out some of the sound.   Since College Hills Honda sells as a kit, also it's low price, ($18 on the day), and since there are lots item will be purchased to save on shipping, it's a bargain to decrease the sound... SO here we go. BTW there are installation in the College Hills Honda on how to install this part.

The part

Insulation kit parts:

Insulation part: 77323-TA6-A01

Insulation cap part: 77322-TA6-A00

Seems like if you order from other dealers, make sure you order insulation cap, since it's separate part #.

The insulation itself have nice amount of cotton to block out some sound, but it's nice looking part.

Installation:

before, nothing there and there are the car parts are exposed.

take out the panel

The other part where the insulation part plugs to the firewall

Push the Insulation cover into the center hole

take the long part plugs into it

here is the holes that the 3 red tabs in the insulation plug to

push the part in

and here you are, lots stuff are covered.

BTW: if you are getting the interior illumination, the bulb itself are plug into the insulation, since it's V6 insulation.
