Hellwig's Rear Anti-Sway Bar
for Toyota Tundra Access Cab
By DChenster (11/11/2005)
The Toyota Tundra is great vehicle, but for regular street drive with off-road package contain too much swaying for regular road use, and when the trucks turn it's swaying strongly. After some research on Tundrasolutions website, which there are a lot of reader prefer Hellwig's Rear Anti-Sway bar. At time I purchase the unit, there is a group purchase, and I order one. there are several colors present, but I choose the red one, because rest of the truck is black, and when I go off-road I can see more clearly under carriage.
I installed the bar within 2 hours, which include 15 - 30 minutes of break time.
Here is the great big box, a little big, rugged, and crushed. but everything is okay, and they are in good shape.
the white accessory box is glued on more strongly than previously reported, and the parts are not loose. The reason is because there are some reports that accessory pack on previous shipment got opened and spread everywhere in the box.
From the left, instruction, L bar, long bar, hooks.
L bar, and U bolt pack
This is what it looks after install, and pretty.
From behind
And how it looks in the dark
Overall this is very great piece of work, when cornered, the truck went more flat, and great for turning. Especially when I got my LSD, it really corners very well, and it's best investment for low price.
Excellent:
Level the truck very well, make everything running well
very strong, and good surface color & fairly easy install
Everything fit
$150 only
Not so Excellent:
Price somewhat expensive when the truck show come with one for the price
Instruction are substandard, I had to rely on the info from Tundrasolution
The bolts are a little hard to get on
U bolt is too long for off road.
Need to adjust a lot.
